About

Bruno Jean-Marc Attanasio was born in Paddington in 1994 to an Italian father and an Australian/Italian mother. From 1994 to 1999, Bruno lived in Italy, where he spoke only Italian. Upon moving back to Australia, Bruno had to learn English, and over time, he gradually forgot his native Italian. Watching films to learn the language sparked his interest in the Performing Arts, which eventually became his passion.

In 2012, Bruno had the honour of being selected to perform for OnStage for the 2012 HSC, where he brought to life his interpretation of Patrick Bateman from Bret Easton Ellis's novel American Psycho. He was then accepted into Sydney Theatre School’s Three-Year Advanced Diploma of Arts (Acting), where he performed in various plays, including Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Mark Ravenhill’s Pool (No Water) as his graduation show.

Bruno continued to hone his craft, working with top acting coaches in Australia, including Kim Farrant, Ben Mathews, Andrew Lloyd, and John Bell, as well as international coaches Scott Williams and Mike Alfreds. In 2019, Bruno took on one of the lead roles in the Sydney premiere of Irvine Welsh’s Trainspotting, which garnered rave reviews and a sold-out box office run.

In 2023, Bruno was cast opposite Italy’s Michela De Rossi in SBS’s While the Men are Away, where he portrayed her husband. In 2024, Bruno was cast as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Luxxe Media’s “Gotham Noir”, due to release in 2025. Bruno is no focused on mastering both the English and Italian language markets, with a commitment to bringing his tenacity, intensity and most of all his heart to the global stage.
